Swoosh Technologies partners with Siemens PLM Software to announce the latest release of NX, the leading CAD/CAM/CAE software platform.
October 21, 2013 (Newswire.com) - Swoosh Technologies, partnered with Siemens PLM, announces the release of NX (Unigraphics) 9. The latest release of NX contains significant enhancements across the product line (CAD, CAM, and CAE) and also offers significant productivity improvements in multiple areas. NX 9 delivers new solutions that help users meet product development challenges and deliver better products.
NX 9 transforms the way users work with 2D data. Synchronous technology has been introduced to 2D geometry and reduces the time it takes to make edits to 2D profiles. This new functionality gives the same freedom and speed in 2D that the groundbreaking synchronous gives 3D geometry. Sketches in NX are now more versatile because the design intent of the sketch can be changed while preserving the integrity.
NX Realize Shape software delivers a new state-of-the-art freeform design toolset with unmatched product development integration. This allows for shortened product development time by eliminating the multiple steps associated with using separate tools for freeform design and engineering development.
New NX CAE tools improve thermal simulation of aircraft engines, decreasing the time to setup complex boundary conditions by 75 percent. Enhancements in NX Nastran software, the premier FEA solver for computational performance, accuracy, and scalability, enable noise, vibration and harshness (NVH) simulation times to be cut in half.
New capabilities in NX for manufacturing provide improved control for faster and more flexible CAM and CMM programming. For die/mold machining, the new cut region management capability provides graphical user interaction for more efficient programming, up to 40 percent faster for some complex parts, and precise control over machining strategies. The new multiple-part programming capability lets programmers reuse machining sequences across any number of similar parts in a setup.
The new MRL Connect for NX, connects NX CAM directly to the Manufacturing Resource Library (MRL) in Teamcenter to give programmers easy access to a shared library of standard tools, fixtures, and templates.
The CMM Inspection Programming abilities have been expanded beyond solids to support sheet metal parts, delivering manufacturers in the aerospace and defense, high tech electronics, and automotive industries a highly automated inspection programming solution.
Swoosh Technologies offers affordable training to new and seasoned NX training. Courses are offered to transition from your current version of NX to the latest, NX 9.
